About the company

Remind, the leading communication platform in education, helps educators reach students and parents where they are: their phones. With nearly 30 million active users, we have our sights set on something even bigger: giving every student the opportunity to succeed.

Remind runs one of the largest free services in education (Remind Chat), a district/school SaaS business that has scaled to support millions of students (Remind Hub), and an online tutoring solution sold to districts, schools and individual consumers (Remind Tutoring). The common thread through each of our product lines is the belief that success in education is driven by relationships, and the Remind communication platform is where the next generation of education relationships live.

About this role

As a member of the Data team, you will be working with other data analysts, data scientists, and data engineers who support our different business lines with various analyses, dashboards, algorithms, and pipelines. This role will focus specifically on our Hub product. You will partner closely with our Product and Customer Success teams to help us understand how our customers are using our product and identify ways for us to improve both the product experience and how we serve our customers. You will also be heavily involved in creating a better experience for our customers to understand the value that they get from using Remind as their communication platform!

About you

  • You have experience working with both technical and non-technical stakeholders, and ideally for a SaaS product.
  • You are an expert in data communication, from clearly documented notebooks, to fantastic dashboards in Looker, Tableau or similar.
  • You are very comfortable writing SQL and somewhat comfortable with a scripting language such as Python or R.
  • You have some experience working with large data sets.

What you'll do

  • Work closely with our Data, Product, and Customer Success teams to measure usage and demonstrate the value of Remind’s Hub product
  • Build and maintain Looker Explores and dashboards that answer common questions while providing flexibility for answering other questions
  • Write SQL to conduct ad hoc analysis and to convert some of those queries into regular pipeline jobs using Python

  • Competitive salary and equity
  • 401K
  • 100% health coverage for you and your dependents
  • Additional benefits for wellness and productivity
  • Open vacation policy
  • 16 weeks fully paid parental leave

Additional Information:
(Colorado only*) Minimum salary of $120,000 + equity + benefits. Variable compensation applicable depending on job type.
*Disclosure as required of the minimum salary compensation for the role when being hired from the state of Colorado.
